Dick Building Company served as the Construction Manager for the Hotel Indigo located in Pittsburgh’s Technology Center in South Oakland. The hotel consists of 111 guest rooms – a mix of suites and standard rooms, a restaurant on the first floor, meeting rooms, a fitness center and a rooftop terrace. The hotel design and decorations can be traced to the site’s roots – the former J&L Steel Mill. The design focal points are items from an old steel mill, such as a large ladle in the lobby and photos in each hotel room. The six-story building consists of a block and concrete plank structure with a masonry and Cor-Ten steel façade.
